Operation 100 Miler: Lime Infusion on the GPT100, 5 to 8 Nov. Follow our progress

Operation 100 Miler

Taste trial done. Now onto the battle ground. This week a legend from our crew takes Lime Infusion on the Grampians Peaks Trail 100 miler, 5 to 8 November: 162 km and about 7,700 m of climbing. The GPT100 is our test track. Every milestone gets logged so you can follow the build to launch in Feb 2027.

The test

  • Grampians Peaks Trail 100 miler (GPT100)
  • 5 to 8 November, Grampians National Park
  • 162 km and about 7,700 m of climbing
  • Lime Infusion carried and eaten on course

Why we're doing this

  • A 100 miler is the toughest real-world test we can give the candy: over 160 km and about 7,700 m of climbing
  • Late in a long effort, taste, stomach and energy are all under pressure. That's when a candy has to work
  • What happens on the course shapes the recipe before launch
  • Every milestone is logged on the development blog, so you can follow the build to launch in Feb 2027

A piece of the candy in the palm of a hand
What is it?

An electrolyte candy you hold, not mix

A small candy with added electrolytes and a clean, neutral lime flavour, in a bullet shape and a square. You hold it in your mouth and drink your water as usual. There is nothing to mix, no bottle to dedicate to it, and nothing to rinse out afterwards. It doesn't have a name yet.

What's in it

  • Sugar
  • Electrolytes
  • Lime flavouring

Nutrition panels have been prepared for the sensory trial. The public panel will be published once the formula is finalised.

How to have it

  1. Pop one inHave a piece whenever suits you, before, during or after a session.
  2. Drink your waterSip from whatever you already carry. No special bottle or mix.
  3. Keep movingNo prep and no clean up. Just put the bag back in your pocket.
  • No powder, no measuring, no shaking
  • Works with any water: your bottle, a soft flask, a tap or an aid station cup
  • No sticky gel wrappers or residue to clean up
  • Small, light and easy to carry in a pocket or vest

We're about four months into R&D, starting right back at the formulation stage. Batch after batch, Pete and mates have been mixing, pouring, cutting and taste testing at the kitchen bench, tweaking one thing at a time until it feels right on a long run. Here's where we're heading next, and we'd love you along for it.
